In June 2022, then-Health Secretary Sajid Javid laid The Gender Recognition (Disclosure of Information) (England) Order 2022 which allows authorised people to share information about people who were referred to gender identity services at Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust as children, only for the purpose of research as part of the Cass Review.
